The Art Scene at Sundance: Celebrating and Remembering New York Artists

Sundance traces its roots as an indie-film showcase guided by Robert Redford to 1984. However, there is so much more going on in the world of arts, media, philanthropy and entertainment and despite the deluge of L.A., there are many New Yorkers. Among the 187 feature films and shorts revealed was Remembering the Artist: Robert De Niro Sr., a 40-minute documentary by directors Perri Peltz and Geeta Gandbhir about the father of the iconic actor, Robert De Niro, Jr., actor and founder of the Tribeca Film Festival.
