LA Philharmonic 10th Anniversary The Los Angeles Philharmonic hosted its 10th Anniversary with a concert, followed by an outside tented dinner and dancing. The event had a “Starry Night” theme. To create a celestial look, an LED star-drop curtain was installed, to resemble a twinkling galaxy. Dinner was served by Patina Group, during a choreographed dance and musical performance. The entire program, led by Gustavo Dudamel and featuring the music of cellist Yo-Yo Ma, was enhanced by installations created by video artist Netia Jones with input from the building’s architect and evening’s honoree Frank Gehry. The evening, supported by the LA Philharmonic’s official timepiece sponsor Rolex, raised more than $5 million. Shiraz Events, who I have worked with on several events, hired me as part of the team.
