An epic event and journey: Last shuttle voyage and address by Captain Mark Kelly ENDEAVOR | OCTOBER 12, 2012 | BY: NICHOLE WRIGHT This morning, the space shuttle Endeavour is being moved to the California Science Center, its final resting place. This is an emotional two-day journey to watch for many Americans and those who traveled on the shuttle during its history with NASA. Yesterday, before the 12-mile move kicked-off, Time Warner Cable held a very important press conference at their headquarters in Culver City. The event featured Captain Mark Kelly, commander of the space shuttle Endeavor. “Putting the space shuttle Endeavour into a museum was bitter sweet because he had logged so many miles in it” said Kelly. His relationship started over 10 years ago with when he flew as a pilot on a voyage to the International Space Station. His final mission on Endeavor was last year. Read full article…
