Plein Sud—French For Anything But a Plain Crowd

On a recent Sunday, a group of us headed down to brunch in TriBeCa. Plein Sud is not so much about the food – it’s pretty basis French country fare – but more so about the personalities that wine and dine there. Located in the uber-chic and modern boutique Smyth Hotel by The Thompson Hotel Group, it is bound to innately attract a downtown and Hollywood crowd. On a random Sunday, we were seated directly across from the very attractive couple – Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minillo – who later that day were hosting the Range Rover Evoque Live event with Cee Lo Green.
