Jean Georges: 4 Stars and Still Shining Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 by Nichole Wright on Dining Around Heralded a rare 4 Stars by the New York Times and 3 Stars by Michelin, Jean Georges Flagship restaurant still shines. It is only one of five restaurants in New York City with the Michelin Award. The chef is no doubt famous – the great Alsatian chef is known for fusing Asian flavors with the classical traditions. Does anyone remember Vong in the 90’s? When his Spice Market opened it was the place to see and be seen – it is still popular and delicious Asian street food. While Jean Georges and the adjacent Nougatine are the most highly applauded, he has many 2nd acts. Without further adieu, I’d love to share my most recent dinner experience at Jean Georges.
