The perfect Rosé for Labor Day

Here’s my pick for a wonderful Rose with a twist – Rose of Pinot Noir. Perfect with barbeque and outdoor parties in the warm sun. Of course, I am biased, as I am an Ambassador for the Boisset Family Estate, who owns DeLoach Vineyards. The 2012 vintage of this Sonoma coast rose is described as versatile, elegant and light-bodied. It retails for $20 a bottle, but for larger parties and groups, why not order by the case at a discount? Last week, I had a great night hosting a tasting with about 15 women and it was a hit.

Tasting Notes: Opens with orange peel, lemon zest and watermelon. Leads to notes of rose petal and vanilla. On the finish candied cherry and watermelon fill the palate.
